Mark and Jacob lit up every room they entered with their kindness, humor, and faith. Their vibrancy was recognized by everyone they met, their warmth felt in every place they entered, and their memory inspires all those who carry them in their heart.
The Mark and Jacob Iskander Foundation was designed to make sure that the love and kindness that Mark and Jacob left with us is not only remembered but multiplied. Mark and Jacob were extraordinary children, and their legacy will ensure that underserved children around the world have a chance to discover what makes them extraordinary, too.
In Egypt, where the Iskander family is from, adoption is illegal. Children without family to take care of them are left with no choice but to live in orphanages.
The Mark & Jacob Iskander Orphanage will be a place of refuge and hope for children who would otherwise be left to fend for themselves.
This project needs your support and prayers as we are currently in negotiations to purchase the building that will become a safe, happy home for many deserving children.
Many families do not have the resources to provide their kids with basic necessities — such as a single pair of shoes.
The Mark & Jacob Iskander Foundation helps fund a child development resource center in Egypt where these kids can take a break from the harsh reality of their lives.
The child development resource center offers these children access to fresh clothes, nutritional meals, and fun activities. In addition to offering them respite, the program addresses their educational needs and teaches them new skills that will benefit them throughout their lives.
Mark and Jacob were excited about learning. This program will create scholarships for foster children interested in attending the same schools that the boys had the pleasure of attending.
These scholarships will also ensure that they’re equipped with everything they need to make the most out of their education.
The foundation also recently announced The Mark & Jacob Foster Care Agency, which will help pair children in the Ventura County area with local families to give them a sage and loving home where they can excel and grow to their full potential.
